Gardens.- Loudon (John Claudius) Observations on the Formation and Management of Useful and Ornamental Plantations; on the Theory and Practice of Landscape Gardening..., first edition, 10 engraved plates, of which 2 folding, advertisement f. at end, engraved bookplate of Maxwell of Kirkconnell, title with very small loss to blank lower corner, E1 short tear to lower-margin, light offsetting, lightly browned with occasional light spotting or finger-soiling, uncut in original boards, printed paper spine label, upper cover with "Kirkconnell" in ink manuscript, spine with vertical crease and slight fraying to ends, corners worn, some rubbing elsewhere, 8vo, Edinburgh, 1804.
