Insects.- Goedaert (Johannes) Metamorphosis et historia naturalis insectorum, vol. 1 only (of 3), 63 hand-coloured engraved plates, illustration of coat-of-arms heightened in gilt, title printed in red and black, ?lacking additional engraved title but with hand-coloured engraved portrait of the author, lacking Sig. N (4 leaves), Preface ff. bound in wrong order, 19th century ink gift inscription to front free endpaper, ink ownership stamp of W. Williamson to front free endpapers, ex-Royal Society of Edinburgh with small ink-stamp to title lower-margin and presentation bookplate ("Presented...by William Williamson...1937"), one plate with marginal tear, small worming to lower-margin towards end, some light browning, 18th century morocco-backed marbled boards, tear and repair to spine foot, quite worn, [STCN 061159573], 8vo, Middelburg, Jaques Fierens, [1662].

⁂ Vol. 2 & 3 were published in 1667 & 1669.
