Hogarth (William) Collection of 18 original prints, by and after Hogarth, from various 18th and 19th century editions, including two impressions of 'Hogarth Painting the Comic Muse', the fifth and final state (of seven), a single sheet of impressions of three ticket engravings, including the bidders ticket 'The Battle of the Pictures', a subscription ticket for "Moses brought to Pharaoh's Daughter"and "St Paul before Felix", and another subscription ticket for the "March to Finchley", circa 1750, the four stages of cruelty, and others after Hogarth, engravings, on various laid and cream wove papers, sheets between approx. 450 x 280 mm (17 3/4 x 11 in) and 490 x 650 mm (19 1/4 x 25 5/8 in), handling creases, marginal nicks and tears, some surface dirt, browning and spotting, all unframed, [circa 1750 and later]; and a large group of unframed 19th century prints (Sm. qty.)
