Cobb (T., of Bow Church Yard, London) King Charles ye First, Majesty in Misery, an Imploration to the King of Kings..., engraved portrait of Charles I in the upper centre, surrounded with verses, sheet 353 x 260 mm (13 7/8 x 10 1/4 in), laid onto paper support, some losses to extremities replaced in pen facsimile, handling creases and associated splitting visible, even toning and surface dirt, unframed, Gluer, and Webster, [circa 1720]; together with a mixed group of mainly English prints, including a hand-coloured title page for John Speed's 'The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine' dated 1627, a slightly compromised mezzotint of Charles I after [?] John Faber's 'Corruptibilem pro incorruptibile', a portrait of Charles I by Willem Jacobsz Delff, after Daniel Mytens, Gunst's portrait of William Villiers after Van Dyck, an ornamental arch dedicated to Charles II, and a wood engraved sheet with illustrations of the life of Abraham with manuscript text, a 19th century line drawing after a painting said to be by Albani, and an 18th century black chalk study after an antique bust, various sizes between 310 x 210 mm (12 1/4 x 8 1/4 in) and 600 x 460 mm (23 3/4 x 18 in), some laid down, surface dirt, browning, some losses, all unframed, presented in modern portfolio, 17th to 19th century (9)
