Bindings.- Scotland.- Barbour (John) The Life and Acts of the Most Victorious Conqueror Robert Bruce, King of Scotland, a few tears, occasionally affecting text, Edinburgh, no printer, 1758; 'The Acts and Deeds of the most Famous and Valiant Champion Sir William Wallace', lacking title, [c.1758], spotting or occasional foxing, some staining, mostly lightly browned, uniformly bound in attractive dark brown 20th century panelled morocco (the second volume slightly shorter), richly gilt, covers with central Scottish royal arms, semé with crosses and fleurs-de-lis and with fillet and sawtooth borders, spine in compartments with central cross motif and fleurs-de-lis corner-pieces within double fillet borders, some slight fading, especially to spines, some scuffing, rubbed, g.e., both vol. cocked, small 4to (c.229 x 185mm.)
