Fashion.- Needlework.- [Album of embroidery patterns and fashion plates from Costume Parisien], 102 plates, 1 folding, most with hand-colouring, captions in French, a few chips and tears to margins, a few small stains or spots, occasional trimming, slightly touching a few images, light offsetting and toning, contemporary navy straight-grain morocco, upper cover nearly detached but just holding, rubbed to extremities, a little worn, oblong 4to, c.1820

⁂ A beautiful collection of plates depicting French fashion in the early nineteenth-century. Many of the plates illustrate dresses alongside their needlework patterns, allowing at-home attempts to replicate the intricate designs.
