Birch (Thomas) The Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britain, 2 vol. in 1, engraved title vignette, 108 engraved portrait plates, by Houbraken and Vertue, after Holbein, Lely, Kneller etc., without separate title to vol. 2 (contents leaf only), occasional faint foxing or offsetting, engraved bookplate to pastedown, contemporary calf, gilt, rebacked retaining majority of original back-strip laid-down in compartments, slight rubbing to lower corners, folio, for John and Paul Knapton, 1747.
