Dickens (Charles) Bleak House, first edition in book form, half-title, engraved frontispiece, additional title and 38 plates by Hablot K. Browne, ownership inscription of Chas. Villiers Johnson to front free endpaper dated 1886, final f. of Preface & first Contents f. with loss to upper blank corner, the latter also with closed tear to lower-margin, foxing, mainly to plates, upper hinge weak but holding, 19th century half calf, spine gilt, rubbed with corners quite worn, Bradbury and Evans, 1853; and others, most Dickens or Rudyard Kipling, a few Dickens first edition in book form, 8vo (c.25)
