Nottinghamshire.- Thoroton (Robert) The Antiquities of Nottinghamshire, first edition, title in red and black, initial imprimatur f. with expert restoration to fore-edge, 15 engraved plates (11 double-page, one with tiny hole), one engraved double-page map, one double-page plan, 4f. engraved coats of arms, engraved illustrations (many full-page), wood engraved initials and headpieces, occasional small marginal loss with expert restoration, tiny paper defect affecting odd letter (S1), tiny marginal rust-hole (3A1), occasional faint marginal staining, odd spot, ex-Nottingham libraries with neat ink-stamp to title verso, previous owner's manuscript notes loosely inserted, new endpapers, contemporary calf, rebacked, rubbed, bumping to corners, folio, by Robert White, for Henry Mortlock, 1677.
