The Works, second edition, translated by Mr. Dryden, 101 engraved plates only (of 102), title in red and black (small tears to edges and laid down), list of subscribers, several plates with tears and neat repairs verso, one plate with small hole affecting image, short marginal tears with neat repairs (2N4, 2O1-2P1, 2R3-4), loss affecting lower corners and neatly restored (4N2-4N4), loss to fore-edge just touching text and with old repair (4O2-4Q2), occasional shipping to lower edges with neat tissue repairs, small tears to fore-edges with tissue repairs (4Q3-4S4), holes affecting text with neat tissue repair (4S1 & 4S4), spotting and staining, previous owner's ink signature to front pastedown, later calf, rebacked, rubbed, bumping to corners, folio, for Jacob Tonson, 1698.
