Dancing.- Rameau (Pierre) The Dancing-Master : or, the whole art and mystery of dancing explained, translated by John Essex, second edition, initial 'Approbation' f., 57 engraved plates, of which 3 folding, some C3 paper flaw within text but without loss, water-staining (mostly at end) and mostly light staining, occasional spotting or finger-marking, lightly browned, new endpapers, modern half calf, gilt spine in compartments and with red morocco label, spine faded, [cf. Magriel p.131], small 4to, [J. Essex] and J. Brotherton, 1731.

⁂ Rare in commerce. Rameau was dancing master to Elisabetta Farnese, Queen of Spain by her marriage to King Philip V.
