Glasse' in ink at head of p.1, inter-leaved with very occasional manuscript recipes, frontispiece trimmed with loss of text at foot, title trimmed with loss of first word at head, K2 lower margin torn away, K3 2 small pieces from inner gutter, some spotting and staining (see in particular upper corners at ends), lightly browned, 19th century half calf, spine gilt and blind-stamped and with repaired leather label, corners little worn, rubbed, [Bitting p.187 (note to c.1750 edition); Cagle 698; Maclean p.59; Oxford pp.76-77], thick 8vo, Printed for the Author, and sold at Mrs. Ashburn's China-Shop..., 1751.
