⁂ The first is a rare edition of the Latin edition of Aesop’s fables followed by those of Abstemius, the humanist scholar and librarian at Urbino whose fables first appeared in 1495 and are found in several editions of Aesop. In this issue the printer’s name does not appear on the title but on the colophon leaf at end.
