La Serre (Jean-Puget de) The Mirrour which Flatters Not, engraved frontispiece (ink tracing to verso), with explanatory leaf facing (woodcut signature 'A' to recto, and C18th ink ownership inscription), 4 whole-page engraved illustrations, typographical decorations, imprimatur leaf at rear, various small worm holes towards upper margin (sometimes partial letter loss, no major losses), bookplate, eighteenth century paneled calf, gilt with central arms, rebacked, edges worn, with particular loss to upper cover lower corner, [STC 20490], 8vo, for E[lizabeth] P[urslowe], 1639.
