Vertical hosoban: 31.6 x 14.2 cm.

Segawa Kikunojo III (1751-1810) was one of the most famous kabuki actors of his day and was celebrated for his proficiency at female (onnagata) roles.

 



Condition Report:
Good impression, generally good colour, colours with some slight fading and oxidisation, slight wear to top edge, a tiny nick to the bottom left corner, slight foxing, paper slightly thin in places, the reverse with slight tape residue to the top left and right corners, the bottom right corner of verso with collector's seal showing through slightly to the front of the print.
