Tasso (Torquato) La Gerusalemme Liberata, 2 engraved allegorical titles, one with medallion portrait of the author, the other with portrait of Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy, 20 full-page engraved illustrations by Agostino Carracci and Giacomo Franco after Bernardo Castello, 2 of which printed separately to borders and neatly laid down within frame, as issued, 'Argomento' of each book within woodcut cartouche, woodcut head-pieces and historiated initials, occasional staining within text, marginal water-staining, contemporary speckled calf, sympathetically rebacked, covers rubbed, [Cicognara, 1113; Gamba 948], folio, Genoa, Giuseppe Pavoni for Bernardo Castello, 1617.
