A mixed case of 6 magnums from Domaine des Martinelles comprising: 2 magnums of 2015 Hermitage, Rouge 2 magnums of 2013 Hermitage, Rouge 2 magnums of 2020 Hermitage, Blanc The Hermitage Rouge is 100% Syrah and comes from vines with an average age of 50 years. The vineyards are spread across two distinct 'terroirs' that give this wine a real sense of place. An intense nose of dark fruits with toasty notes leads to a rich, fleshy and well-structured palate with a long, elegant finish. The Hermitage Blanc is 100% Marsanne from 45 year old vines. The wine is aged on the fine lees for 18 months in oak barrels giving richness to the palate. The nose is expressive and exudes both fruit and floral aromas with toasty notes and a buttery character. These magnums are signed by winemaker Pascal Fayolle.

All lots in this special charity auction were donated by the producers and shipped directly from their cellars. Now lying at LCB VT. The entire sale proceeds will be shared equally between these two worthwhile charities: The Epilepsy Society in the UK and Institut La Teppe in France. The Epilepsy Society: launched in 1892 by a group of London philanthropists and doctors, the Society looks after people with epilepsy and supports research in this field.
