Picasso (Pablo) and others.- Valéry (Paul) and others. La Nouvelle Revue Française, 13 vol., portrait frontispieces by numerous artists, occasional light foxing, original printed wrappers, a few slightly sunned or toned, one or two with small chips, 8vo, 1921-1928.
⁂ Each of the volumes have a portrait frontispiece of the author, executed by a different contemporary artist. Perhaps the most notable is the lithograph portrait of poet Paul Valéry (1921) by Pablo Picasso (Bloch 39, Mourlot 4). Others are by Marc Chagall; Raoul Dufy; Léonard-Tsuguharu Foujíta; Marie Laurencin; Max Ernst; Georges Aubert; de Segonzac and Edouard Viullard.
