Schmidt for S. Feyrabendt, 1580.
⁂ Second edition of this landmark work on metallurgy, with much on mining and smelting. Includes methods for testing alloys and minerals of silver, gold, copper, mercury, and lead. The last chapter is devoted to saltpeter. Ercker was inspector-general of the mines of Hungary, Transylvannia and the Tyrol.
