Calligraphy.- Watson (Thomas) Copy Book Enriched with Great Variety of the most Usefull & Modish Hands....fitted for the profit and delight of Ingenious Youth, engraved throughout with decorative title and 26 plates (numbered 1-17), the last signed by Elder, some light spotting and soiling, mostly marginal, later half morocco, [cf. Berlin Kat. 5046, 1683 edition], small oblong folio, H. Overton and I. Hoole, [c.1726].
⁂ Rare work by the teacher of a writing school at Newport Pagnell, originally published in 1683 and distinguished by the large capital letters on each page. This edition is not listed by ESTC.
