Mining.- Pyrenees.- Dietrich (Philippe-Frédéric de) Description des gîtes de minerai, des forges et des salines de Pyrénées, suivie d'observations sur les fer Mazé et sur les mines des sards en Poitou, 2 parts in 2 vol., 2 engraved plates, 4 folding hand-coloured engraved plans, 7 folding letterpress tables, some spotting and light browning (mostly in part 2), contemporary calf-backed marbled boards, spines gilt and with red morocco label, head of part 2 little worn, rubbed, 4to, Paris, Didot & Cuchet, 1786.
⁂ Important work on the mining and metallurgic industries of the Pyrenees region. A further two parts were produced covering Alsace. As with other copies the preliminaries of part 1 have erratic pagination. Here there are 3 ff. in quire a (?lacking a half-title. A half-title (or divisional title is bound in before sig.A); 5 ff. in quire b; and 4ff. in both quires c and d.
