⁂ On the rich lead and silver mines discovered on Price's estate in Cardiganshire. Waller, who was manager of the works, attempted to show the investment value of the mines, comparing them to the silver mines of Potosi in Peru (now part of Bolivia), and conjuring up the image of a 'Welsh Potozi' in Cardiganshire.
