De gli elementi di Euclide libri quindici, collation: *2, **4, ***2, A-Z4, AA-ZZ4, AAa-ZZz4, AAAa2 woodcut initials, diagrams throughout, occasional ink notes to margin, erased ink ownership inscription to title, occasional light foxing, but generally a clean and excellent copy, bookplate to pastedown, 17th century calf, gilt, spine ends and corners neatly and sympathetically repaired and restored, rubbed, [Adams E-995], folio (304 x 205mm.), Urbino, Domenico Frisolino, 1575.

Rare deluxe copy on blue paper of the first edition of the Italian translation of Euclids' Elements. Copies of sixteenth-century scientific works on blue paper are unusual and most likely intended for presentation.

Provenance: erased ink ownership inscription to title; Costa della Trinità family (bookplate).
