Doves Press.- English Bible (The), 5 vol., [one of 500 copies on paper], Laurence W.Hodson's copy signed and inscribed by him to his daughter-in-law Lilian "...to carry on the tradition of Bible reading" in ink on front free endpaper of vol.1, neat pencil annotations to margins (?recording dates of readings), printed in red and black with initials by Edward Johnston, light foxing to a few leaves (mostly at beginning and end of vol.1 and a few leaves in vol.2), short tear to lower edge of f1 (pp.81-82) of vol.1 repaired, book-label of Laurence Hodson (printed at the Kelmscott Press) at foot of front pastedown of each volume, original limp vellum, by the Doves Bindery, spines titled in gilt, uncut, folio, Doves Press, 1903-05.
