India & China.- Sonnerat (Pierre) Voyage aux Indes Orientales et a la Chine, fait par ordre du roi, depuis 1774 jusqu'en 1781, first edition, 280 engraved plates by Poisson after drawings by Sonnerat, of which 140 hand-coloured, many folding, light damp-staining to some plates, but generally in good condition with bright colouring, occasional spotting, contemporary French mottled calf, gilt, spine in compartments and with double black morocco labels, spines chipped, corners worn, rubbed, [Cordier, Sinica III, 2102 'Pour la beauté des épreuves, cette édition est préférable à celle de 1806'; Hill 1608; Nissen IVB 886; Pritzel (2nd edition) 8774; Zimmer p.957], 4to, Paris, Chez l'Auteur, Froulé, Nyon & Barrois, 1782.
