[1932], staying at the home of Lord and Lady Cavendish (Adele Astaire was the sister of Fred Astaire), and referring to her as "Delly Welly", a gossipy letter, "Darling Anita, Having such fun here with Delly Welly - she's a riot! Oh how you'd laugh to see her when neighbours call!! The castle is the biggest thing! Delly more exaggeratedly herself than ever!", reporting on the health of his friend, Marjorie Oelrichs, "she nearly cooled it poor thing", mentioning Albert Bigelow Paine's book, Life and Lillian Gish, "the most astounding nonsense", his sister Nancy's forthcoming marriage etc., folds.
