Full Lot Details

Banksy (b.1974)

Have a Nice Day (Anarchist Book Fair)

Screenprint in colours, 2003, signed, inscribed 'A' (Anarchy) and numbered from the edition of 67 in pencil, on wove paper, printed and published by Pictures On Walls, London, with full margins sheet 319 x 999mm (13 1/2 x 39 1/4in)

This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Pest Control Office.

This screenprint is from Banksy's first official print run published by Pictures on Walls in 2003. It was released as a special edition of only sixty-seven signed prints. It is believed that the artist himself kept thirteen of these, and the remainder of the edition has largely been kept stored away. It differs in several aspects from the artist's later and more numerous Have a Nice Day edition, such as the font of the text and composition of the image; providing interesting insight into how the artist works and reworks his iconic images through the medium of screenprint.

Condition Report

In excellent condition, with full margins. Unframed

Condition reports are prepared by the department as a courtesy and guide for clients, and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Condition reports are not warranties and each lot is sold ‘as is’ in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale, as listed on www.forumauctions.co.uk. Forum Auctions cannot take any responsibility for error or omission. Purchasers must in all cases be responsible for determining the condition themselves. The absence of a condition report does not imply that a lot is in perfect condition. Please contact the department for additional images at info@forumauctions.co.uk.
