Dickens (Charles).- Vase (Gillan) A Great Mystery Solved: Being a Sequel to "The Mystery of Edwin Drood", 3 vol., first edition, with Remington's advertisement f. at start of each vol., light spotting to advertisements and titles and last 2 ff., the odd spot and surface stain elsewhere, vol.1 few gatherings loose or becoming so, slight cracking to hinges, slight shelf lean, original cloth, browning to spines, a few nicks and splits to spine ends, light staining to vol.2 upper cover, light rubbing to extremities, [Sadleir 706; not in Wolff], 8vo, 1878.
⁂ First edition of one of the famous solutions to Charles Dicken's incomplete and final novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It is part of the long history of "Droodiana", where other authors have attempted to solve the fate of Edwin Drood.
