Book of Hours.- Heures a lusaige de Romme, printed on vellum, collation: A-K8 L4 M8, 92ff., gothic letter, almanac for 1521-1536, illuminated printer's device on title, title and text within borders of crible side-strips and a series of woodcuts often relating to the theme of Resurrection, 14 full-page illuminated miniatures in gold and colours, including 9 with illuminated borders, 19 smaller miniatures and initials in text, also illuminated in gold and colours, early ink annotations faded and/or erased from vellum endleaves, old calf, stamped in blind and gilt, with fleur-de-lys to covers and spine, housed within modern suede-lined cloth drop-back box, 8vo (242 x 162mm.), Paris, N. Higman, for J. de Brie, [c.1521].
⁂ The full page miniatures feature scenes from the life of Christ and Nativity story, as well as the Coronation of the Virgin and King David with his harp, while the small miniatures depict a variety of male and female saints.
