Naval, Execution of Admiral Byng.- The Shooting of Admiral Byng, on board the Monarque, March 14, 1757, single sheet, engraved recto only, folds (with short split at foot of two), short neat split mid-image, previously mounted with remains of such verso, little staining or spotting, lightly browned, [ESTC T27245], the sheet 294 x 428mm., Printed for Thomas Bowles, in St. Paul's Church-Yard, and John Bowles and Son, at the Black-Horse, Cornhill, [1757].

⁂ Rare, with only three copies recorded by ESTC (BL, NLS and Cornell). Admiral of the Blue John Byng (1704-1757), court-martialled and executed by firing squad for breaching the 12th Article of War in failing to 'do his utmost' to prevent Minorca falling to the French.
