Botany.- Cassone (Felice) Flora Medico-Farmaceutica, 6 vol., first edition, 600 hand-coloured lithograph plates, some with touches of gum arabic, some trimmed, ink stamps to half-titles, contemporary morocco-backed boards, gilt spines, some joints starting, [Nissen BBI 334; Stafleu & Cowan 1051], 8vo, Torino, 1847-52.
⁂ A very fine and clean copy in an attractive contemporary binding. Felice Cassone (1815-1854) was an Italian botanist. In order to give an idea how rare the work is, W. Junk in his 'Bibliographia Botanica' (1909) no. 6795, offered a copy at 100 Marks.
