Botany.- Japan.- Tachibana (Yasukuni) Ehon Noyama Gusa, 5 vol., 141 full-page woodcut illustrations, folding concertina style, some light worming and marginal water-staining, original boards, 2 vol. stitching renewed, paper label to lower covers, rubbed, housed in modern cloth chemise, [Nissen BBI I p.242], small 4to, [Osaka], [Kashiwaraya Seiemon], [1755].
*** First edition of this beautifully illustrated work on Japanese botany. Yasukuni (1715-92) was the son and most important pupil of Morikuni; his two principle works are 'Ehon Noyama Gusa' and 'Ehon eibustu...'.
