Zoology.- Leach (William Elford) The Zoological Miscellany; being descriptions of new, or interesting animals, 3 vol., 150 hand-coloured engraved plates, some foxing and water-staining, vol.2 lacking pp.27/28 (blank), uncut in original boards, worn and stained, [Anker 282; Fine Bird Books p.87; Nissen IVB 535; Wood p.429; Zimmer pp.379-80], 8vo, 1814-17.

⁂ A scarce work published as a continuation of Shaw and Nodder's Naturalists' Miscellany. The beautiful plates are all engraved by Nodder and depict a great number of new species. William Elford Leach (1790-1836) was an English zoologist and marine biologist and assistant keeper of the Zoological Department at the British Museum.
