Botany.- Lambert (Aylmer Bourke) An Illustration of the Genus Cinchona, 5 engraved folding plates (lightly offset, 1 plate trimmed with loss to imprint), some marginal staining and light browning, modern morocco backed boards, red calf label to spine, [Nissen BBI 1128; Stafleu & Cowan 4147], 4to, 1821.
*** Aylmer Bourke Lambert (1761-1842) was a British botanist and one of the first fellows of the Linnean Society. This work serves as a supplement to his earlier work, A Description of the Genus Cinchona, published in 1797. Lambert assembled one of the largest herbaria of his time which attracted visitors from many countries.
