⁂ A very rare work on the algae of the Kingdom of Naples and, in particular, the Gulf of Naples.
Stephano delle Chiaie (1794-1860) was an Italian naturalist. He was also the author of a major botanical work on medicinal plants 'Iconografia ed uso delle piante medicinali...' and the author of the third volume of Giuseppe Poli's famous work on shells 'Testacea utriusque Siciliae...'
