Botany.- Ambrosini (Giacinto) Phytologiæ hoc est de Plantis, part 1 vol.1 (all published), additional engraved title, 36 woodcut illustrations in text, title restored at gutter, T2-3 browned, contemporary calf, gilt spine, minor splitting to head of upper joint, [Hunt 303], folio, Bologna, 1666.
⁂ Giancinto (Hyacintho) was director of the Botanical Gardens at Bologna from 1657-1665, following the directorship of his brother Bartolomeo. The genus Ambrosinia was named after the two brothers." (Hunt 303). Only the first volume was published; second volume on trees was never published due to the author's death.
