Fungi.- [Séjourné (A.)] [Champignons des environs de Blois], 2 vol., 161 fine watercolours, most heightened with gum arabic, some trimmed and neatly presented on album leaves and occasionally with associated watercolour, 89 inscribed with pen and black ink and 58 inscribed in pencil, one mounted photograph, some chipping or short tears to edges, all loose, each approx. 360 x 270mm., housed in contemporary morocco-backed cloth portfolio, lacking cloth ties, fading to spines, covers sunned, folio, [Blois], c.1880.

⁂ An attractive and unique collection of highly finished watercolours of fungi in the Loire valley. The quality of the drawings is exceptionally fine and scientifically accurate. Abbé A. Séjourné was born at Herbault in 1843 and died in 1900 at Blois.
