A4 a-z4 A-Z4 aa-ee4, title within border, woodcut initials, head- & tail-pieces and portrait medallions, final f. blank with woodcut device to verso, a couple of neat ink notes to margins in early hand (A2-3), final 7ff. with small defect upper fore-edge corner (not affecting text), occasional minor spots and faint stains to margins but overall generally clean, contemporary limp vellum, spine foot chipped, 4to (239 x 157), Lyon, Jean de Tournes, 1556.
⁂ A crisp copy in contemporary binding of this early French edition of Suetonius' well-known work of classical history, recognised as one of printer de Tournes' best typographical achievements.
