Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, first edition, signed by the author on front free endpaper, certificate of authenticity from Adam Houston loosely inserted, slight toning to title and facing page, light spotting to advertisements at rear, original pictorial boards, neat and expert repair and restoration to spine tips and corners, dust-jacket, light vertical crease to spine, spine tips and corners a little creased, near-fine otherwise, preserved in custom morocco-backed drop-back box, spine gilt in compartments, [Errington A2(a)], 8vo, 1998.
⁂ Rare with a contemporary signature by Rowling. The full stops visible after the "J" and "K" is typical of her signatures from mid-1998 and no longer evident from late 1998 onwards after Rowling was forced to sign books quickly on her first American tour
