Red-Shouldered Hawk (pl. 56), from 'The Birds of America Sylvia Formosa', engraving with aquatint by Robert Havell, with full hand-colouring, on cream Whatman watermarked wove paper, sheet 960 x 640 mm (37 3/4 x 25 1/4 in), under glass, sheet slightly trimmed and laid onto support, minor toning to edges, some surface dirt, framed with glass chipped in the lower right corner, [circa 1827-1838]
