Birkenruth (Johanna, binder).- Prévost (Antoine François, Abbé) Manon Lescaut, illustrations, bound in red morocco tooled in gilt, by Johanna Birkenruth, covers with single gilt fillet and corner-pieces made up of fleur-de-lys, hearts and small dots & stars, upper cover with rows of alternating fleurs-de-lys and heart in gilt with initials ML at top, foot and sides, lower cover with central ML surmounted by fleur-de-lys, spine gilt in compartments with the same, inner gilt dentelles of small dots & stars, fleur-de lys to corners and hearts to sides, doublures with mounted illustration (?from original wrappers), t.e.g., others uncut, binder's stamp to flyleaf, label removed from front free endpaper, very slightly rubbed at joints and edges, (c.135 x 75mm.), Paris, 1892 § Browne (Sir Thomas) Religio medici, number 29 of 60 copies on Japanese vellum, portrait, engraved bookplate of Roderick Terry, bound in crushed dark brown morocco, by Kelly & Sons, covers with large gilt-ruled lozenge surrounded by ornamental border, spine gilt in compartments with small ornament and five raised bands, g.e., signed at foot of front turn-in, (c.125 x 70mm.), Gay & Bird for The Bibelot, 1902, 12mo (2)
