B[oyle] (E[leanor] V[ere]) Ros rosarum ex horto poetarum, first edition, title in red, illustrations and decorations, extra-illustrated with 28 mostly French engravings, either bound in or cut and mounted on blank leaves, bound in crushed brown morocco elaborately tooled in gilt with climbing roses of small red & dark red onlays and small heart-shaped leaves, upper cover with author's initials at centre, spine titled in gilt with similarly decorated compartments and five raised bands, turn-ins with spray of three gilt roses to each corner, pale yellow silk moiré doublures and endpapers, original decorative upper wrapper bound in at end, t.e.g., others uncut, upper joint neatly repaired, (180 x 110mm.), printed at the Chiswick Press, 1885 § Book of Common Prayer (The), bound in dark green morocco with central scalloped oval panel of three onlaid cream flowers surrounded by small birds in gilt against a background of onlaid red flowers with leafy stems and small gilt dots, lower cover with identical gilt tooling but no onlays, g.e., spine titled "Prayer" in gilt between floral ornaments and small birds, inner gilt dentelles, g.e., rebacked preserving old gilt spine, (c.155 x 90mm.) Oxford, [c.1904]; and a hand-painted vellum binding c.1903, 8vo et infra (3)
