Perrault (Charles) Le Cabinet des beaux Arts ou Recueil d'Estampes gravées, engraved title, 45pp. of engraved text, 13 engraved plates, of which 1 folding, first 5 ff. loose, first few ff. with minor worming to lower margin, occasional soiling, some light staining, ink inscription to title, contemporary calf, chipping with loss to backstrip, joints splitting with upper cover nearly detached, rather worn, oblong 4to, Paris, G. Edelinck, 1690.

However, Charles Perrault is more famously known for his later work 'Histoires ou contes du temps passé', where he laid the foundations of the literary genre, the fairy tale, which inspired Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen over a century later.
