Architecture.- Gibbs (James) A Book of Architecture, containing Designs of Buildings and Ornaments, second edition, 150 engraved plates, 5 large and folding, folding view of St. Martin's Church with repaired tear, shaved within plate margin at head, occasional light browning and some spotting, the odd short tear or marginal chip, title to C2 with mounted on stubs with some creasing and soiling, staining to gutter and a few ff. a little short, some staining to pastedowns, contemporary calf, rather worn, sympathetically rebacked, later endpapers, [Harris 258; cf.Berlin Kat. 2270, Fowler 138 & Millard British 22, first edition of 1728], folio, W.Innys and R.Manby, 1739.
