Netherlands.- Dutch School (19th Century) Album comprising 25 original watercolour costume designs of various figures from the Netherlands, watercolours, executed directly onto album leaves without visible under-drawing, manuscript text descriptions below the majority in English, French, and Dutch, some sheets watermarked 'J. Ruse/ 1801', each leaf approx. 470 x 280 mm (18 1/2 x 11 in), front free endpaper with name of 'Rossina Murray' in the upper right corner, possibly the artist or a previous owner, some minor spotting and light surface dirt, mottled calf, with tesselating pattern decorating the border of each cover, rebacked, g.e., scuffed and slightly worn, folio, [circa 1801]; with 3 further loose watercolours inserted, including two figure studies, and one watercolour of sailing ships with skates attached for ice sailing, in a winter landscape with ice skaters, 265 x 380 mm (10 1/2 x 15 in), early 19th century
