Napoleon on St. Helena.- Manuscript and printed material relating to English involvement with Napoleon's custody on St. Helena, including Drake (?Henry) Autograph Letter signed to William Blake of Ruscombe, Berks, 3pp., folio, Mount Edgcumbe, 5 August, 1815, giving an eyewitness description of Napoleon's appearance on board the Bellerophon at Plymouth, folds, piece from an outer margin where opened, affecting a few letters, little spotting, lightly browned; Barrow (Sir John, Second Secretary to the Admiralty, proposer of St. Helena as the place of exile for Napoleon, 1764-1848) Autograph Letter signed to Messieurs Cadell and Davis, 1p., 4to, Admiralty Office, 10 July 1807, concerning a sum of money to be lodged with Coutts Bank, folds, lightly browned; a contemporary watercolour of St. Helena purportedly by J. L.
