India.- Howitt (Samuel) A pair of leopards; A Pair of lions, two works, brush and ink, watercolour, one signed in in the lower left, each approx. 160 x 240 mm (6 1/4 x 9 1/2 in), on card with old mounts affixed onto sheet, some even toning and surface dirt, unframed, [circa 1800s] (2)

⁂ Likely produced during the same period Howitt was working on illustrations for Williamson's Oriental Field Sports (1807), based on sketches made by the author in India.
