Nature-printing.- Auer (Alois) Die Entdeckung des Naturselbstdruckes...The Discovery of the Natural Printing-Process, parallel text in German, English, Italian & French, 19 nature-printed plates, of which one double-page, many printed in one or more colours, 6pp. of lithographed facsimile letters at end, title lightly soiled and with very short repaired tear to upper-margin, few ink marks to title verso, third plate with some very short tears and fraying to fore-margin, some foxing to plates, heavy to a few, modern half morocco, spine gilt, 4to, Vienna, Kaiserlich-Königlichen Hof- und Staatsdruckerei, 1854.

Auer's claims about the invention of nature-printing were disputed by the English printer Henry Bradbury. Issued with this edition is the "Debate" about the invention and Auer's review of "The Conduct of a Young Englishman".
