Gigantism and drinking.- Maucourt (Claude, exhibited at the Society of Artists, London, 1761-67) Attributed to. Night Amusements; Mirth and Friendship, a pair, engravings, excellent well inked impressions of these scarce prints, both on 18th century laid papers, one with watermark of a fleur-de-lis within a shield, each approx. 450 x 330 mm (17 3/4 x 13 in), under glass, some minor surface dirt and expert repairs to minor nicks at extremities, uniformly framed, [circa 1760s] (2)

⁂ Unrecorded, with mezzotint variants held in the British Museum. Mirth and Friendship includes a portrait of the famous "Staffordshire Giant" Edward Bamfield or Bamford (1732-1768).
