Chaucer (Geoffrey) The Workes, double column, black letter, title within woodcut architectural border, engraved portrait (fore-margin extended and lightly stained), divisional title with woodcut coat-of-arms, woodcut head- & tail-pieces and initials, final errata f. (few marginal repairs and very small rust-hole not affecting text), U4 tear into text repaired with very small loss to few letters, D5, 3K3 & 2Q3 small hole affecting few letters, 3K4 & 3S2 short tear into text without loss, few other small marginal chips or tears, occasional marginal water-staining, contemporary calf, rebacked, lower cover worn in places and repaired, endpapers renewed, [Pforzheimer 178; STC 5080], folio, Adam Islip, 1602.
